OUR COMMUNITY
Indian River Aerodrome
We are a fly-in community with 55 homes, a turf runway, community tennis/pickleball court and recreational island with a pavilion and fire pit. The 2500 footlong north/south runway is centrally located and accessible by grass taxiways. Many of our homes have hangars and most of our residents are pilots. The community was established in the seventies by a group of aviation enthusiasts who envisioned the concept of "living with their airplanes" and being able to fly to and from their backyards. Today we are a tight-knit community where neighbors share a common love of aviation, nature, green space, and friendships.
